Minutes of the Meeting of “India Posts  Retired Officers  Association ''


 The meeting of “India Posts Retired Officers Association” was held on Saturday the 11th February 2016 at 03.0 p.m. in the Conference Hall of Dadar IQ, Dadar HO building 5th floor Dadar (East) Mumbai 400014 under the Chairmanship of Shri R Ganesan Ex-Secretary to Govt. of India, Director General, Department of Posts New-Delhi and President of the Association.
2)  Following members were present in the meeting.

3. Two minute silence was observed in condolences of death of following Officers
(i) Shri P.S.Ragavachari, Ex-Secretary to Govt. of India, Director General, Department of Posts, New-Delhi 
(ii) Shri Vijay Bhushan, Ex-Secretary to Govt. of India, Director General, Department of Posts, New-Delhi
(iii) Shri S.Narasimhan, Ex ADPS Legal Cell CO Mumbai
4) Shri S P Sardal welcomed Chairman, vice-chairman, and all members of the Association who were present in the meeting. Shri A. P. Srivastava Vice President of the Association was welcomed by the Secretary with flowers.
5.Shri U.P.C.Tauro Secretary of the Association informed all the members that  the minutes of the last meeting held on 22nd October 2016 in the Conference Hall of Dadar IQ, Dadar HO building 5th floor Dadar (East) Mumbai 400014 were circulated to all members through what’s app as well as through e mail & also posted in Associations’ Blog www.iproamh.com. As such the minutes of the last meeting were got ratified unanimously.
6 While delivering the key note address, Shri R Ganesan, President of the Association, appreciated the efforts made by Shri Tauro Secretary to increase the number of members of IPROA.

From the above, he showed his disappointment that in last two years we could enrol only 46 members. As the annual subscription of many members was outstanding he requested all members to ensure up to date payment of annual subscription. He suggested enrolling the members of Maharashtra Circle PostalVeterans what’s app group to the IPROA as outstation members so that we can reach out to all the Retired Officers of Maharashtra Circle staying in other Regions of Maharashtra Circle.
Ms Humera Ahmed Hon’ble Vice President of the Association suggested that a Resolution may be passed in the meeting. Accordingly,resolution was passed unanimously to enrol the Retired Gazetted Officers of Maharashtra Circle in other Region than the erstwhile Mumbai Region, members of IPROA as outstation members with admission fee of Rs 100/- & yearly subscription of Rs 100/-. The Hon’ble President emphasized that all members would also contribute to enrol at least two outstation members for augmenting the strength of Association.
7. Shri J.S.Patil pointed out that the main requirement of Retired Officers is availability of I.Qs. of the Circle for the Officers when they go outstation. The President assured the members that the matter will be taken up with the Chief Postmaster General if such situation arises & the members approach the Association.
8. Shri Vijay Khanna Hon’ble Vice President of the Association, while speaking on the occasion, narrated how to utilize the leisure time. The main issue of the veterans is health. Being together, he explained how to spend the time with the loved ones & the grandchildren. The grandchildren need our love & affection. Spending the time with the grandchildren & loved ones gives the joy of life. He also suggested reading books & doing once hobbies. He emphasized taking a daily walk of at least half an hour to maintain our health. He advised the members not to be addict toT.V. He suggested enjoying cooking, making life easier & interesting, to spend time giving pleasure to others. He wished all members “Be happy, make everyone happy”.
9. Shri A.P.Srivastava Hon’ble Vice President of the Association, while speaking on the occasion, expressed his happiness to see the Association flourishing.
10. Shri U.P.C.Tauro Secretary of the Association presented before the house 03 designs of motto of the Association “Care *Share*Welfare” duly incorporated on the Logo of the Association. The design showing the motto as an umbrella to the Logo was approved by majority vote. The approved motto of the Association was immediately unveiled by Shri R Ganesan, President of the Association. 
11 It was decided by majority vote to hold the Annual General Body Meeting (A.G.M.) at Yevoor Hills, Thane about 1000 feet from Upvan Lake side on Saturday the 3rd June 2017 from 10.0 hrs onwards  followed by Lunch from the contribution from attending members. Shri Vijay Khanna Hon’ble Vice President of the Association will explore Swan Country Club or Exotica for the event. Secretary Tauro will work out individual contribution from the members and communicate separately. In case sufficient members does not respond positively the AGM will be held in the Conference Hall of Dadar IQ, Dadar HO building 5th floor Dadar (East) Mumbai 400014 on the same date.
12.Since resolution was passed unanimously to enrol the Retired Gazetted Officers of Maharashtra Circle  of all  Regions  than the erstwhile Mumbai Region, members of IPROA as outstation members with admission fee of Rs 100/- & yearly subscription of Rs 100/- it was unanimously decided regarding  Registration  of the Association when membership of the Association crosses 100 members.
13. The Members were requested to share their experiences they had come across during their long spell of active service. Shri S.P.Sardal sang a song which was applauded by all members. Mr M.J. Joshi spoke at length about his experiences in RMS. All the members enjoyed with joy and laugh.
14. Hon’ble President of the Association requested all members to contact at least 2 Retired Gazetted Officers of other Regions to enrol as members of IPROA. The names of the members who enrol two members will be circulated in the next minutes of the meeting. Secretary was requested to what’sApp/email the Application for membership to the members of Maharashtra Circle Postal Veterans what’s app group. Shri Vijay Khanna Hon’ble Vice President of the Association volunteered to contact the remaining Retired Gazetted Officers of India Posts stationed at Thane & Kalyan for enrolment as IPROA Members. Secretary was requested to provide the Telephone/Mobile Nos to him.
15. It was decided with majority vote that instead of having all the three meetings of a year in Dadar only, to have also some meetings to be combined with picnic, with fun filled activities so that members get encouragement to participate actively. Thus we will have our own Mumbai model where there will be both types; meetings in Dadar and meetings with picnic, depending upon the participation and exigencies of the time when the three annual meetings are due every year. It was unanimously decided that the meetings combined with picnic will be through contribution from attending members.
16. The meeting concluded at 5.00pm with a vote of thanks by Shri J. S. Patil   with a special mention of new members who had participated in the meeting.
