Enable TCP/IP Network Protocol for SQL Server

In Most of the post offices, SQL 2005 or above is configured. In that Offices, after AD Migration the Post Office application could not be accessed by IP address  but it is being accessed by Server Name. Enable TCP/IP address to access SQL server through IP Address


1. Run the SQL Server Configuration Manager.
2. Select the SQL Server Network Configuration.
3. To change the port assignment right-click on the TCP/IP protocol and select Properties.
4. To change the port assignment right-click on the TCP/IP protocol and select Properties.
5. In the details pane, right-click TCP/IP, and then click Enable..

Now you can connect by using IP Addresses
