7th Pay Commission HRA Calculator with Arrears from the expected date of revision
House Rent Allowance – 7th Pay Commission HRA Calculator to calculate the Revised HRA along with Arrears Calculation in the case of implementation of 7th CPC HRA for Central Government Employees retrospectively
It seems that Central Government Employees need not wait any more for getting their revised allowances recommended by 7th Pay Commission. The Code of Conduct of Election Commission has already expired and Govt can announce the revision of Allowances for Central Government Employees at any moment from now.
Minister of State for Finance has recently replied in the parliament to the effect that 7th Pay Commission Allowances Committee had not submitted its report. However, he had remarked that the deliberations of the Committee are in the final stages.
Out of many allowances which 7th Pay Commission examined, HRA for Central Government Employees gains much significance as it is one of the common allowances applicable to almost all the employees except for whom Govt has provided accommodation.
In fact it is one of the Allowances which should have been revised from the date of implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations viz., 25th July 2016, as done by previous Pay Commissions.
NJCA, the Joint body of many Central Government Employees and Railway Unions / Federations have already demanded that revised HRA should be implemented with effect from the date of revision of 7th Pay Commission Pay i.e from 1st January 2016.
In this background, we have come with a HRA Calculator that calculates revised HRA and month wise Arrears of HRA from the expected date from which revised HRA is implemented
Please note that this tool only estimates the HRA based on the rates contemplated / demanded by Staff Side from time to time. Actual increase in HRA will be known only after Govt implements 7th Pay Commission recommendations on allowances.

However, It is widely expected that Allowances Committee would retain the HRA Rates of 30%, 20% and 10% for X, Y, and Z Class Cites respectively. Taking into account these factors we have provided option to select the HRA Rate, so that users can select the applicable rate based on the decision of the Govt to accept 7th Pay Commission recommendations on HRA.
