Sub: Regarding non-availability of booking scan of registered Articles.
This is regarding non-availability of booking scan of registered articles in the system.
Directorate vide its letter No. cited above has intimated that the number of registered articles delivered is more than the number of articles booked. Thus it reveals that there is either manual booking by the POs or if booked, there may be communication problem. Even the registered article booked in the system, but not dispatched in R-net. It is also observed by the Directorate that 57,29, 799 registered articles were not having the booking information in the system during the month of February 2017. Besides, it has been observed that the delivery updation of Registered articles is also very low in comparison to speed post articles.
Online availability of booking and delivery information is essential for improving visibility of registered articles to the customers and lapses in both theses parameters may result in reduction of business.
Therefore, it is requested kindly to issue necessary guidelines to all concerned to book all the articles in the system and to check whether all the articles booked by the particular office are reflected in the system on the next day, which can be checked through registered booking MIS report (https://services.cept.gov.in/rnet)
