New Features provided

Contents of the CD 

The CD supplied is having the following folders 

a.    Point of sale for Franchised Outlet Version 6.5 

b.    Prerequisites 

c.     Databaseworkshop 

d.    Database upgrade 

Up gradation Procedure

a.    Before upgrading the database please take a backup of Counter database. 

b.    It is suggested that up gradation should be carried out at the end of the day or before beginning of the day and not in the middle of the day, when transactions are taking place. 

Sequence of Up gradation

a.    Through Add/Remove programs option remove the point of sale client 

b.    Search for Pointo*.cab file and delete the file  if exists . 

c.     Install the new client from the CD supplied 

d.    Upgrade the Counter database using the counter.eql supplied in the database upgrades folder through database workshop sites software. 

New Installation Procedure

1. Uninstall the existing Point Of Sale Server component and Client component if exists and delete the concerned folders 
2. Install the Server component in the Server machine and Client component in the client machine. In the case of stand alone systems both can be installed in the same system.
