National-level letter writing contest for school children

The Department of Posts is organising a national-level letter writing competition for schoolchildren. It is being held as a part of the letter writing campaign scheduled from June 24 to August 15.

With the theme as ‘Dear Bapu (Mahatma Gandhi), you inspire me’, participants can write letters in English or Hindi or regional language.

The letters should be sent to Chief Postmaster General, Andhra Pradesh Postal Circle, Vijayawada – 520 013. At a meeting held here, Senior Superintendent of Post Office, M. Hari Prasad Sarma said the participants will be divided into two categories, up to 18 years of age and above 18 years of age. The letter can be written on an A-4 plain sheet and should not exceed 1,000 words.

Cash prize

The top three national writers will get a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively. Top three circle winners will also receive cash prizes.
