India Post Recruitment Alert: Apply for 8153 Gramin Dak Sevak posts across various circles, check details here

New Delhi: India Post is recruiting for the posts of Gramin Dak Sevak, GDS in the postal circles of Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Telangana, Kerala and Uttar Pradesh Circles. Registrations for Kerala and Uttar Pradesh circles close on December 2 and 4th respectively. The registrations for the circles of Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Telangana started from November 20 and would close on December 19, 2017. Candidates with a minimum qualification of Class 10 and in the age group of 18 to 40 are eligible to apply. Check the vacancy details, eligibility criteria, important dates and how to apply here.
Vacancy List of various circles is provided below. 

Indian citizens who have completed a minimum of Class 10 and is between the age group of 18 to 40 are eligible to apply. Kindly note, the date for determining the age, however, varies for all the circles. For some, the age would be calculated as per November 20 and for Uttar Pradesh circle it is the last date of filling the online forms. Candidates are hence requested to go through the separate notifications for each circle. An extension of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates is applicable.

Apart from the pass certificate, candidates are also required to have completed a minimum 60-day computer course. Certificates from Central Government/ State Government/ University/ Boards etc., will also be acceptable for this purpose. Please note, candidates who have studied computers as a subject till their Class 10 or 12 may not be required to submit the same. Also, no additional marks would be given to students who have completed educational certificates over the minimum requirement. However, candidates who have cleared their Class 10 examination in the first attempt would be considered meritorious.

Selection would be done on the basis of a merit list generated. The marks received only in class 10 board examinations of the approved board would be considered till 4 decimal places for the merit list.
