How to delete WhatsApp messages even after 7 minutes
Whatsapp is one of the most used IM apps around the world right now with a user base of over one billion. This app is available in Android, iOS, Windows platform and also accessible from desktop computers. Since the launch of this app, it has gone through some serious changes from just messaging to sharing temporary stories for 24 hours.

Among the slew of updates, Whatsapp has rolled out an update recently, that helps the users to delete the messages for both sender and receiver if sent wrongly.

Initially, the above-mentioned feature allows users to delete the sent messages within 7 minutes. However, there seems to be a bug in it, which lets the user delete it after the specific time frame — 7 minutes. The bug allows a user to delete the sent messages for up to a maximum of seven days. In order to do that, follow the below steps

How to control storage space used by WhatsApp on Android

Step 1: First off, turn off Internet connection be it your WiFi or Mobile data on your smartphone and head on to settings panel.

Step 2: Now tap on Apps -> Whatsapp -> tap on Force Stop

Step 3: Once you are over with it, go to the settings again and disable the automatic Date & time update.

Step 4: Now change both date and time on your smartphone to the time, when you sent the sent the message. If you are not sure about it, you can scroll the chat till it shows you the date and time on it.

Step 5: Once done, you can delete the message by holding on to the message for few seconds, where you will see two options ‘Delete For Me’ and ‘Delete For Everyone’. If you want to delete for the sender you can do it tapping on it or else tap on the first option. Once done, change the time and date back to normal.
