How to send text messages using your Windows10 PC

Microsoft has now given a new feature to its users by which they can send text message to others using the Windows 10 PCs. This feature has been there on Apple and Chrome OS platforms and now the Redmond-based tech firm is joining the bandwagon.

The update comes to the Your Phone app,
using which you can now sync their messages with Windows 10 PCs. Thurrot.com reports that besides reading and sending text messages, you can even send emojis and messages. The app is said to support group conversations and will let users type using the stylus as well.

Unfortunately, the feature available in the Your Phone app is limited to Android users only. There is no word if this will be coming to Apple users as well.

Last month, Microsoft released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17728 (RS5) to Windows Insiders, which came along with the first iteration of ‘Your Phone’ app that enabled easy syncing of phone’s content with PCs.

The app was rolled out to Windows Insider users with Android for Windows 10.

With ‘Your Phone’ app, recent photos on Android smartphone gets automatically synced with user's PC. Currently, devices running Android 7.0 and above operating system are compatible with the ‘Your Phone’ app. It will be extended to iOS users in the coming future.

On Windows 10 PCs, users will be notice a desktop pin that will take them directly to the ‘Your Phone' app for swift and easy access to images and other content in their smartphone.

“For iPhone users, Your Phone app helps you to link your phone to your PC. Surf the web on your phone, then send the webpage instantly to your computer to pick up where you left off to continue what you’re doing–read, watch, or browse with all the benefits of a bigger screen. With a linked phone, continuing on your PC is one share away,” the company said in a statement
