Respected Sir/Ma'am, The Meeting & Family Get-Together is scheduled to be held on Saturday the 22nd February 2025 at Neilkanth Hall BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, 2R34+ 944, Mumbai-Agra Road, Near Dental College, Kevdivan, Panchavati, Nashik 422003 at 16.0 hrs (4.0.p.m.) with HI Tea with snacks under the Chairmanship of Shri Vijay Khanna, Ex Postmaster General Mumbai Region, Mumbai GPO 400001 followed by the various group activities by the participants and concluded with vegetarian Buffet Dinner at the venue at 21.0 (9.0 p.m.) There will be site seeing on Sunday the 23/02/2025 upto evening. My earnest appeal to all the members who are in good health to attend the meeting & family get-together with their family members. It is also requested to the members to approach all Retired Gazetted Officer friends to attend in large numbers and not to miss this golden opportunity to continue your camaraderie with your long-time friends. The individual contribution calculated is as under Meeting @ Rs 500/- per person which includes the hall charges, Hi tea with snacks, Photographer charges and Vegetarian Dinner with Puran poli with desi ghee. Lunch on Saturday 22/02/2025 @ Rs 120/-per person (optional) Accommodation is @ Rs 750/- per person. Additional bed is @ Rs 250/- Thus, the total contribution is Rs 500/- + Rs 120/+ Rs 750/- =Rs 1370/- per person which is to be paid in advance. The conditions for refund of the advance are already intimated.The site seeing places and the cost is being worked out and will be intimated in due course. The contribution towards site seeing will be collected at the venue on 22/02/2025. The account numbers to which this amount is to be credited or remitted are already circulated. The Nashik team have assured to make this a memorable event to cherish. The itinerary is as under: - Arrival at Nashik in the morning/afternoon of Saturday the 22nd February 2025, Site seeing Lunch, Site seeing, Return to the venue of meeting, hi tea, meeting Dinner, halt. Postal department to spin off life insurance business into separate unit

The postal department plans to spin off the postal life insurance and rural postal life insurance operations into a separate business unit (SBU) for which it has moved a Cabinet note, Communications Minister Manoj Sinha said Wednesday. "For postal Life Insurance and rural postal life insurance we have moved a Cabinet note. In the first phase it will involve creation of an SBU and in second phase a full fledged insurance company," Sinha told reporters on the sidelines of an event to mark the second anniversary celebration of India Post Payments Bank (IPPB).

The Minister hoped that the Cabinet approval would be received in next fortnight or so.

Sinha said IPPB has rolled out 1.26 lakh access points over the last five months and over the next week or 10 days the number is expected to rise to 1.36 lakh.
