Sir,
Sub: Non adherence to rules -inconveniences to GDS who are appearing for promotional exams.
Your kind attention is invited to the multiple circulars issued in connection with the aforecited subject for taking immediate action deemed fit in the interest of much exploited GDS community of this esteemed organisation.
Of late, exams are notified without following relevant rules and procedures e.g minimum notice time not given, in another case sudden change in syllabus announced with out giving even breathing time, discrimination and denial of opportunity to take up exam in case of no vacancy divisions where they lose the opportunity of selection in surplus quota.
I enclose a copy of the order of CAT Bengaluru bench which permitted the aspirant GDS to appear for PA examination slated on 14th of this month where they were denied examination on the plea that there was no vacancy in their divisions.
Hence we are of the considered opinion that the important issues of examinations are hurried resulting irreparable loss to the eligible and competent GDS staff. Further rules are hardly followed for the much Inconveniences of the GDS seeking promotional opportunities.
Under the above circumstances we are compelled to request you to postpone all such notified exams at least for three months as breach of rules, litigation is noticed. An examination held shall be purposeful if the same is notified well in advance, preferably in the calendar of examinations every year.
Hope appropriate action will be taken in this regard at the earliest, with a line of reply on action taken which will be highly regarded.
Thanking you.
Yours faithfully,
SS Mahadevaiah
General Secretary
