Important Judgment Reserved for GDS and GDS promoted to Department Regular Posts

There are various court cases filed by Promotees to Departmental regular posts like Postman, MTS etc by the GDS after 2004. 

The questions raised are 

(1) whether they should be brought under NPS or Old Pension System?; 

(2) Whether any short fall in 10 years (9 years 9 months) regular service should be adjusted from their long GDS service?; and 

(3) Whether posts related prior to 2004 filled up later than 1.1.2004 will fall under NPS or OPS category?

Our Advocate Arun just reported that various SLPs on these questions were clubbed together by the Supreme Court and on 1.8.2019 after hearing reserved its judgment. Now, the final position on all these important questions will emerge after the announcement of this Reserved Judgment!
