Dak Pay by Department of Posts
Department of Posts (DoP) and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) unveiled a new digital payment app, ‘DakPay’, on December 15 during a virtual launch event as part of ongoing efforts to provide digital financial inclusion at the last mile across India.
DakPay offers a suite of digital financial and assisted banking services provided by India Post & IPPB through the postal network across the nation to cater to the varied financial needs of customers. Under the DakPay brand umbrella, customers will get access to a wide range of services such as domestic money transfer, scan QR code and make payment for services/merchants digitally through virtual debit card & UPI, enabling cashless ecosystem through biometrics, providing interoperable banking services to the customers of any bank (AePS), and utility bill payment services.
DakPay symbolizes the strength of innovative services in the form of online payments and doorstep delivery of financial services combined with the extensive and nationwide network of postal department that aims to achieve Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a financially inclusive and an AatmaNirbhar Bharat.
