What are the benefits in passing PO & RMS Accountant Examination?

1. At present, there is no Special Allowance for PO & RMS Accountant. It was discontinued from 01.07.2017. But the Postal Department has sent proposal for Special Allowance for Rs.945/- to the Ministry of Finance and it is pending in the Ministry of Finance. 
2. Even though there is no monetary benefit in Accountant post, the passed candidates have the chance to work in the Accounts Branch of a Head Office.
3. Accountant post is a respectable post. Accountant has so much knowledge of important rulings.
4. If you pass in the Accountant examination, you will have the satisfaction that you have passed in an important Department Examination. Passing this examination will be recorded in your Service Book.
5. If you pass in the Accountant examination, you will have the confidence to face Inspector Post Examination and Assistant Accounts Officer Examination.
6. This is the first step for AAO Examination. This class will be very useful for the candidates who are preparing for AAO examination. In the year 2018, so many PO & RMS Accountants passed in the AAO examination.
There is possibility for notification of AAO examination in coming days.
7. Aspiring candidates of AAO examination may also participate in this class. But only subjects relating the syllabus of PO & RMS Examination will be taught in this online class.

Method of conducting of PO & RMS Examination:-

1. Minimum service for PO & RMS Examination is three years in PA Cadre.
2. Fifteen candidates can appear for the examination for one vacancy in your Postal Region.
3. Even though there is no vacancy in your Division, you can appear in the examination if vacancies are available in your Region.
4. In some Circles, there is demand for qualified Accountants.

Qualifying marks for passing PO & RMS Accountant examination:-


If the candidates got exemption (60 marks and above) in any Paper, they need not write the paper for next two subsequent examinations. Theyhave to qualify the other paper within next two subsequent examinations
