Sub: Consolidated instructions on Cash awards to the outstanding sportsperson - reg.
In continuation of this office letter No. 8-1/2014-WL&Sportsdated 20.06.2017 regarding grant of cash awards to sports person who achieves 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in National/International Sports Tournaments held by respective Sports Federations consolidated instructions are as follows:
2. Rates for grant of Cash award: Position 1st Rates (INR) Rs 25,000/Rs 20,000/Rs 15,000/ 2nd 3rd
3. Cash award is to be given for each item/event/category of game separately; no upper limit is placed on number of cash award that can be claimed for a particular tournament. For example, if a sports person secures 1st Position in three different item/category/event in a National/International Event he/she shall be granted three awards i.e. Rs 25000X3 = Rs. 75,000/.
4. Postal Sports Control Board may grant cash awards for National/International to to ranking players out of Sports Fund based on result received by it from recognized federations or on basis of application of players (having result/certificate).
5. Circle Sports Board may grant cash awards for National/International to top 3 ranking players out of Sports Fund based on application of players (having copy of result/certificate) or on directions of Postal Sports Control Board. Daisy Baule (Daisy Barla) Director (W&S)
