 Regarding non-observance of prescribed procedure for settlement of deceased claim cases of National Savings Schemes by field units - DOP Clarification dd 26/07/2022

It's once again reiterated by Directorate that 

 

1) Separate claim sanction is not required.

 

2) Physical presence of witness is not required.

 

3) Acquaintance portion signature may be obtained from the claimant along with POSB account or bank account to facilitate that the claimant won't come again to post office for collecting cheque or claim amount
