WE MUST GET AN ANSWER AS CITIZENS OF INDIA !
In the country: -
1 Where a lawmaker can enjoy four pensions & their pay & perks can be revised upwards in minutes. All from public money?
2. Where freebies from public money is a fashion with political parties.
3. Where wastage of public money due to a multiplicity of Agencies & duplicity is bureaucratic order despite the PM prophesying otherwise?
4. Where medical facilities in Central Govt. Schemes for retired persons not at Par & Medical facilities are denied after retirement to a section of retirees/Sr Citizens.
5. Where overlooking Supreme court judgments & PM’s opinion Pensioners in old age are pushed to Courts to seek redressal on the issues already Legally decided.
6. Where a retired CJI (who is basically a pensioner paid directly or indirectly from public money) can get domestic help, a chauffeur, and a secretarial assistant for a lifetime from public money.
7. Where millions of public money is spent on Parliamentary committees & their favorable recommendations for Aam pensioners/Sr citizens are denied in the name of financial constraints
8. Where Guardians of the Constitution themselves violate the principles of equality & right to life.
However, those in power still preach equality, the right to life, good governance, ease of living for pensioners & whatnot.
Equality & the principles of the right to life appear to be just ‘Jumlas’ for Aam Pensioner!
The Supreme Court of India in the landmark judgment in D.S. Nakara v Union of India (AIR 1983 SC 130 : (1983) 1 SCC 305), a decision rendered by the Constitution Bench i.e; “In the fall of life the State shall ensure to the citizens a reasonably decent standard of life, medical aid, freedom from want, freedom from fear and the enjoyable leisure, relieving the boredom and the humility of dependency in old age. This is what Article 41 aims when it enjoins the State to secure public assistance in old age, sickness, and disablement.”
Does this apply only to the top retiring personalities from Government ranks?
We must get an answer as citizens of this Country!
