 Beware of Fake Call & SMS

Sir/Madam

It has been brought to our notice that many IPPB account holders are receiving message from anonymous number with fraudulent link. The message sample is appended below

Sample 1: “Dear India post payment bank user your account has been blocked today please update your PAN card Click here the link”

Sample 2 : “Dear customer your India post payment bank will be closed today because your PAN card not updated last month please update your pan card immediately click the link”  etc. 

It is hereby requested to kindly communicate the following instructions to all the Regions/Divisions to sensitize all Department officials/GDS officials that to prevent any fraud attempts in their IPPB bank accounts.

•       IPPB or IPPB officials never ask for any details like PAN or account information via call/Message/link.

•       Never Click on unknown links/URL’s

•       Never share OTP’, Card & login details on call/SMS/ in any link

•       To verify/check for genuineness of the sender’s details like whether the message is from any individual number
