To

The Cabinet Secretary.
(Government of India),
Rashtrapati Bhawan,
New Delhi

Dear Sir,

Sub: Ramlala Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya Declaration of the National Holiday on 22nd January, 2024 Reg
Ref.: (i) Our earlier letter of even number dated 18th January, 2024
(ii) Dy, Secretary (DoP&T) (Estt, JCA Section), Govt. of India’s OM. No. 12/7/2023-JCA dated 18.01.2024

Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions (Deptt. Of Personnel & Training) (Estt. JCA Section), vide Office Memorandum referred to above, has declared half-day closing(11 02:30 hrs) of all the Central Govt. Offices, Central Institutions and Central Industrial Establishments throughout India on 22nd January, 2024 on the occasion of Ramlala Pran Pratistha at Ayodhya.

I am very thankful to the Government of India for declaring half-day leave on 22 January, 2024

As you are aware that, there will be Nationwide festive atmosphere across the country, and people will be celebrating the occasion in their homes/nearby temples and communities by offering prayers

As there will be traffic jams here and there on the roads due to the processions, devotional gatherings, etc, it will be very difficult for the employees to attend their offices after 02:30 hrs. The employees live in far-flung places in the cities, and after Pran Pratistha it will be difficult for them to reach their offices by 02:30 hrs

We, therefore, request your goodself that, 22 January, 2024 may be declared “Full Holiday”, keeping in view the religious sentiments of the employees

Sincerely yours,
(Shiva Gopal Mishra) Secretary
