The All-India CPI-IW for May 2024 increased by 0.5 points, standing at 139.9 (one hundred thirty-nine point nine). This increase in the May 2024 index indicates that the expected DA/DR from July 2024 will be 53% for Central Government employees and pensioners, representing a 3% increase in the existing DA/DR rate. It is now confirmed that the DA/DR from July 2024 will be 53%, as an improbable variation (9 points increase or 2.7 points decrease) would be required to change this rate. Hence, it is confirmed that the DA/DR rate from July 2024 will be 53%.
