Labour Bureau has released Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers for September 2024 and according to its Press Release the AICPIN points increased 0.7 Points and stood at 143.3

Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (2016=100) – September, 2024

1.Labour Bureau, an attached office of the M/o Labour & Employment, has been compiling Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers every month on the basis of retail prices collected from 317 markets spread over 88 industrially important centres in the country. The index for the month of September, 2024 is being released in this press release.

2.The All-India CPI-IW for September, 2024 increased by 0.7 point and stood at 143.3 (one hundred forty three point three).

3.Year-on-year inflation for the month of September, 2024 stood at 4.22% as compared to 4.72% in September, 2023.

Subject: Electronic National Automated Clearing House (eNACH) services in IPPB accounts.

Madam/Sir,

I am directed to state that IPPB has successfully implemented Electronic National Automated Clearing House (eNACH) services which will provide innovative and convenient financial solutions to DoP/IPPB Staffs and customers.

2. eNACH is an electronic payment system that enables automated recurring payments for Loans, Mutual Funds, monthly utility bills etc. With launch of eNACH, IPPB has empowered it's customers with a seamless and efficient way to manage their recurring financial obligations like Payment of Loan services from IPPB accounts, Mutual Fund SIP payments, Authorize recurring payments directly from their IPPB accounts.

3. Further, the implementation of eNACH in IPPB will enhance the customer experience and also contribute to the growth and development of the payment ecosystem.

4. In this context, all Circles are requested to kindly circulate the information about launch of eNACH in IPPB among all employees of DoP.

Clarification on Interest Application for Depositors Who Cease to Be Indian Citizens - reg

Sir/Madam,

      With reference to the subject above, clarification has been sought by both BG HQ Region and SK Region regarding the interest application for accounts where the depositor has ceased to be a citizen of India. In this regard, please refer to the Gazette Notification G.S.R. No. 1003(E) dated 05.10.2018, Rule No. 9(5), which specifies the following interest application guidelines:

 

1. Scheme Interest: Interest at the scheme rate applies from the date of account opening until the deemed closure date, which is the last day of the month preceding the depositor's cessation of Indian citizenship.

2. SB Interest: From the deemed closure date until the actual closure of the account in Finacle, SB Interest applies.

Please ensure adherence to these instructions to maintain consistency and compliance with the regulatory guidelines.
